The authors consider the scattering of a time-harmonic elastic wave by an interface crack of finite length in a piezoelectric layered plate. Using the Fourier transform, the problem is reduced to a system of Cauchy-type singular integral equations. The numerical solutions are obtained using the Jacobi polynomial method. Finally, the authors discuss the influence of incident frequencies and crack location as well the effects of piezoelectricity.
