The second term of the Hamiltonian function for \(n\) planets (written in Jacobi coordinate system) is expanded by two different methods, in terms of mean and eccentric anomalies. Thus the need to compute the perturbation function for each planet is bypassed. The treatment is straightforward, as the inclinations and longitudes of the planets are referred to a common plane and to a common origin, respectively.
