The article under review is a continuation of the author's articles [Proc. R. Ir. Acad., Sect. A 91, No. 2, 205-218 (1991; Zbl 0793.46027) and Ric. Mat. 46, No. 1, 161-175 (1997; Zbl 0951.46024)]. Perturbations of relatively regular elements in complex Banach algebra \(A\) with unity \(e\) (that is \(a\in A\) such that \(a = aba\) for some \(b\in A\)) and properties of Banach (in particular, semisimple or primitive Banach) algebras, connected with the sets \(\{a\in A: ba - e\in K\) for some \(b\in B\}\) and \(\{a\in A: ab - e\in K\) for some \(b\in B\}\) (here \(K\) is an inessential ideal of \(A\)) and nullity of elements, are considered in the present article.
