The authors discuss the exact controllability of the wave equation in a plane domain with cracks and for mixed boundary conditions, by using a boundary control with the help of the Hilbert uniqueness method proposed by J.-L. Lions. In particular, they recover some results due to \textit{P. Grisvard} [J. Math. Pures Appl., IX. Ser. 68, No. 2, 215-259 (1989; Zbl 0683.49012)], under less restrictive hypotheses on the domain.
