The paper refers to the following question: Is there a polyhedron \(P\subset E^3\) having finitely many faces each of which is a closed connected subset of its plane \(H\) whose relative interior regarding \(H\) is multiply connected? After giving various examples of polyhedra satisfying ``weaker'' related definitions (such as Kepler's Stella Octangula, whose closed faces are multiply connected, but their interiors not), the author describes the construction of such a holyhedron having 78 585 627 faces and genus 60 380 421. Furthermore, it is said that there are (known) holyhedra with a smaller number of faces, but with the problem that their representation is much harder. Finally, the natural question for holyhedra with the smallest possible number of faces resp. genus is posed, and a related remark is given: ``We would not be surprised if there is a holyhedron with less than 100 faces, but it almost certainly would not come from our construction''.
