The following properties of fifth-order tensors are discussed: (1) there are no such nontrivial isotropic affine orthogonal tensors; (2) there are such nontrivial isotropic Cartesian tensors, and the number of its components is 243 that are divided into 5 categories. A general formula of fifth-order isotropic Cartesian tensor is given.
