The paper provides a review of mathematical models that deal with the economic analysis of environmental problems. This area of research combines macroeconomic models of growth with environmental models of such phenomena as natural resource depletion or pollution accumulation. Simple versions of these models can be solved analytically, while in more complicated cases calculation of the optimal environmental policies requires computer simulations.
