Generalized flow analysis of non-Newtonian viscoelastic fluid flow through fractal reservoir (Q1579179)

The authors consider the flow of a viscoelastic fluid in fractal reservoir with relaxation (a model for the flow of oil with heavy and crude parts with large pressure gradient). First, the authors introduce the equations modelling the radial fluid flow in a fractal reservoir. Using Laplace-Weber and Laplace transform, the authors obtain exact solutions of these equations (in an infinite reservoir), and study the asymptotic behaviour of solutions in finite reservoir. Finally, the authors give a description of pressure change for various fractal parameters.
