The authors construct a filtration for the \(K_0\)-group of an inverse limit of a diagram of rings, and give some useful exact sequences on \(K_0\)-groups, and on the filtrations and cohomotopy groups of cosimplicial groups. This filtration can be regarded as a generalization of Milnor's Mayer-Vietoris sequence for a pullback square of rings.
