The authors solve the Klein-Gordon and Dirac equations in space-times containing composite defects, such as a domain wall (or two of them) crossed by a cosmic string or a black hole with a global monopole. Mathematically, the method used is separation of variables. Exact solutions are found whenever possible. Possible detectability of the defects is discussed at the end of the paper.
