The author studies the hyperbolic equation \[ \varepsilon\partial^2_t u+ \gamma(t)\partial_tu-\Delta u+ f(u,t)+ \varphi(x,t)= 0,\quad u|_{\partial\Omega}= 0, \] where \(\varepsilon\) is a small parameter, \(\gamma(t)\), \(f(u,t)\) and \(\varphi(x,t)\) are translation compact functions. Sufficient conditions for the solvability and the existence of the attractor of the above equation are given.
