One of the main aspects of the qualitative analysis of dynamical systems is the study of invariant sets. The paper deals with the study of the structure of the invariant set and the study of the behaviour of the trajectories near the invariant set. In particular the author gives a necessary and sufficient condition for which a component of an attractor is also an attractor. This generalizes results of Conley.
