Rational cuspidal curves of type \(d,d-2\) were classified by \textit{H. Flenner} and \textit{M. Zaidenberg} [Manuscr. Math. 89, No. 4, 439-459 (1996; Zbl 0868.14014)], under the assumption that they have at least three cusps. In this paper the authors consider such curves in the case they have at most two cusps and obtain their classification by giving a complete list of equations up to projective equivalence. An analogous result was independently found by \textit{T. Fenske} [Beitr. Algebra Geom. 40, No. 2, 309-329 (1999; Zbl 0959.14012)].
