[For part I see the authors, ibid. 371-394 (2000; Zbl 0994.70008).] The paper investigates triple close approaches, especially the condition for binary formation and escape of the third body in three-dimensional space. The main result is that, when perturbation is introduced, two close approaches occur in the same plane, but the binary formed and the escapes are not in that plane.
