Oscillation, spiralling, vorticity (Q1583926)

The authors prove that the oscillating dynamics of a three-dimensional analytic vector field \(X\) is organized around a finite number of twist axes when it is localisable by point blow-ups. These axes may be considered as organizing centres of the dynamics of \(X\), in the sense of René Thom.
