The author proposes a possible approach (evidently, the simplest one) to the determination of metric (and metrizable) mappings and shows that some basic notions (of completeness, completion, complete boundedness) and assertions related to the spaces can be extended for the so determined metric mappings. In conclusion, a more general version of the determination of metric and metrizable mappings is considered.
