The paper deals with the following problem formulated by \textit{V. I. Malykhin} (Problem 6.11 in [\textit{P. J. Nyikos}, Convergence in topology, in ``Recent progress in general topology'', 537-570 (1992; Zbl 0794.54004)]): Does the non-metrizable separable topological Fréchet-Uryson group exist in ZFC? The authors construct examples of complete non-metrizable separable groups and locally convex vector Fréchet-Uryson spaces compatible with ZFC.
