The author gives a realization of the exceptional symmetric Siegel domain of the fifth kind and determines its holomorphic automorphism group. The proofs are computational. Apart from the contributions of the author, the only reference on bounded symmetric domains which is given is [\textit{E. Cartan}, Abh. Math. Semin. Hamb. Univ. 11, 116-162 (1935; Zbl 0011.12302)].
