The authors construct chaotic actions of finitely generated infinite Abelian groups on even-dimensional spheres and finite index subgroups of \(\text{SL}(n,Z)\), \(n\geq 2\), on an \(nk\)-dimensional torus for any \(k\geq 1\). They also study chaotic group actions via compactly supported homeomorphisms on open manifolds.
