A note on the global attractivity of a discrete model of Nicholson's blowflies (Q1585752)

Summary: We study the global attractivity of the positive equilibrium of the discrete Nicholson's blowflies model \[ N_{n+1}-N_n =-\delta N_n+ pN_{n-k}e^{-aN_{n-k}}, \quad n=0,1,2,\dots. \] We obtain a new criterion for the positive equilibrium \(N^*\) to be a global attractor, which improves the corresponding results obtained by \textit{J. W. H. So} and \textit{J. S. Yu} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 193, No. 1, 233-244 (1995; Zbl 0834.39009)].
