Orthoalgebras are exactly pastings of pasted families of Boolean algebras. However, requirements on their Greechie diagrams are not always easy to verify. After discussing these matters, the author introduces semipasted families of Boolean algebras, which are free of any restrictions on their Greechie diagrams. The correspondence between orthomodular structures and semipasted families of Boolean algebras is weakened to a functional isomorphism. This freedom makes the author prefer semipasted families of Boolean algebras to pasted ones.
