Separation of variables and exact solutions to quasilinear diffusion equations with nonlinear source (Q1586875)

This paper deals with the separation of variables and exact solutions for the quasilinear diffusion equation with a nonlinear source. The authors present a list of canonical forms for such equations which admit functionally separable solutions. A large number of exact solutions for these equations are obtained by the approach of separation of variables; the behaviour and blow-up properties of these solutions are described. Some comments are given in the end of the paper.
