In this paper closed curves are considered which have triple points and loops. If a closed curve has \(n\) triple points then there exist at most \(3n\) loops. In this maximal case the curve is called maximally looped. The author gives a characterization for a maximally looped curve. Then he shows that for a closed curve with \(n\) triple points and more than \(n\) loops the number \(n\) must be odd. For a closed curve with \(3n\) loops he shows that the rotation number of the curve is \(\pm 2 \pi\) or \(\pm 6\pi\).
