The problem of establishing theorems comparing the convergence factors of iterative methods for nonsymmetric singular matrices is solved. The new theory uses a partial order which depends on the projection of the iteration matrix. Thus, when comparing two iterative methods, the two iteration matrices need to have the same projection. A condition for testing this case is given.
