This paper reformulates, unifies and generalizes many known results on the local theta correspondence for unitary groups \((U(V),U(W))\) with \(\dim(V)=\dim(W)\) in terms of a single conjecture expressed in terms of Vogan parameters of the admissible dual. The author also gives a conjecture unifying many known results for the global theta correspondence of such (adelic) unitary groups.
