An associative ring (with identity) \(R\) is said to satisfy idempotent 1-stable range provided that for any \(a,b\in R\), \(aR+bR=R\) implies that there exists an idempotent \(e\in R\) such that \(a+be\) is left invertible in \(R\). In this paper the author gives some characterizations of rings satisfying idempotent 1-stable range.
