Consider the Rössler system \[ dx_1/dt=-x_2-x_3,\;dx_2/dt=x_1+ ax_2,\;dx_3/dt= c+x_3(x_1-b), \tag{*} \] under the assumption that \(a,b,c\) are positive and satisfy \(b^2-4ac\geq 0\). The authors derive conditions on the parameters such that (*) has a periodic solution in a neighborhood of an equilibrium point.
