A result concerning the stability of the trivial solution to the delayed functional-differential system \[ \dot x(t)=f(t,x_t) \] is proved. The method used is a modification of the method developed by \textit{S. M. Dobrovol'skii} and \textit{R. K. Romanovskii} [Math. Notes 62, No. 1, 126--128 (1997); translation from Mat. Zametki 62, No. 1, 151--153 (1997; Zbl 0919.93069)].
