The authors consider the vector valued Hardy space \(H^2 (E)\) and identify it with the Hardy space \(H^2 (D^2)\) on bidisk. Such a kind of identification is useful when considering some problems in model theory. They construct a universal model for the contractive analytic functions, study elementary properties of the submodules in \(H^2 (D^2)\) and give some applications.
