The authors study the effective elastoplastic behavior of the materials with aligned spheroidal inclusions. First, the authors solve an elastic problem for one ellipsoidal inclusion based on Eshelby's tensor. Further an effective medium approximation is applied to a representative volume element. The von Mises criterion for plastic zones in the matrix is used.
