From the conclusion: Using simple arguments, we explain the essential difference between nonlinear traction problem and linearized traction problem in electro-elasticity. Under classic hypotheses, we prove the uniqueness of solution near the identity configuration in the linearized theory. Furthermore, we demonstrate that the global approach to the nonlinear problem is possible by using the natural principle of objectivity.
