Monodromy principle and universal coverings (Q1591072)

The author proves two theorems cited in the paper as Theorem 2.5 and Theorem 3.6. In the first theorem the author extends the monodromy principle of Chevalley for topological groups to star topological groupoids and in the second the author obtains a result on the determination of a universal covering of a path connected topological group which admits a simply connected covering. In the course of proving these two theorems the author refines the proofs of some of his own results with R. Brown in the context of star topological groupoids.
