The authors generalize their previous work [Math Z. 233, 481-505 (2000; Zbl 0958.53054)] and improve it, showing that the constants they compute are optimal. More precisely, they study a class of compact complex manifolds with positive first Chern class, fibered over products of projective spaces. They construct a metric belonging to the first Chern class of the manifold with an optimal lower bound of the Ricci curvature.
