The paper presents an interesting application of the domain decomposition idea. Here, the title problem is solved for two overlapping discs in which boundary integral formula is used to obtain the solution in each subdomain. In addition, the discrete wavelet transform is also used to compress the resulting matrices. Examples involving the Laplace equation are also included.
