With the spherically symmetric perfect fluid metric of Vaidya-Tikekar type, Einstein field equations reduce to second order ODE, with two parameters \(K\) and \(R\). The authors found the most general exact solution of this equation in terms of circular and inverse circular functions, for all physically plausible values of \(K\). The physical characteristics of the superdense star model, for various particular values of \(K\), are derived and analyzed in detail.
