Based on a certain condensed form for the system matrices obtained under orthogonal transformations, the authors show a constructive way that the solvability of the simultaneous disturbance decoupling and row-by-row decoupling (SDD-RRD) problem is equivalent with an integer equality and the nonsingularity of a lower-dimensional constant matrix. The result provides a numerical method for verifying the solvability conditions and constructing the feedback matrices using LAPACK or Matlab. An illustrative numerical example is also given. Finally, a previous result on row-by-row decoupling is generalized in order to obtain an explicit solution for the SDD-RRD problem.
