The author extends several theorems on resolvents and resolvent sets of linear operators to nonlinear operators with arbitrary rate of growth. He uses his concepts from previous articles [Dokl. Akad. Nauk, Ross. Akad. Nauk 350, No. 4, 455-457 (1996; Zbl 0896.47046) and Funkts. Anal. Prilozh., 30, No. 2, 93-95 (1996; Zbl 0897.47007)]. He also discusses a nonstandard definition of eigenvalues and eigenvectors of nonlinear operators and its relation to the branching theory.
