The paper deals with a special class of sequential cell machines (which are defined as discrete dynamical systems with discrete-time operation, evolving in a cell space). The considered class comprises the binary multidimensional nonlinear ones. It is shown that their analytical description can be expressed in the form of a polynomial (representing a finite-value analogue of the Volterra polynomial). This description allows the problem to be approached using quadratic optimization.
