It is considered the hierarchy of multistep invariant submodels: a quotient system \(E/H\) for an initial PDE system \(E\) modulo subgroup \(H\) of its Lie group, a quotient system for \(E/H\), etc. Some conditions to the inclusion of two-step submodels in the set of all one-step submodels are established. These conditions and an example of their nonfulfilment are demonstrated by means of gas dynamics system.
