The authors obtain some reconstruction results for a smooth surface in Euclidean space from the apparent contours of its projection on Euclidean subspaces. The uniqueness problem in the reconstruction of the shape of a smooth surface in a Euclidean space from the projection data connected with the exponential maps of the tangent and normal bundles of the surface is also studied.
