The author investigates a renormalized Hamiltonian that is linear in the interaction, called the Nelson model. First the author reviews the construction of the model. Among the results are the existence of a ground state, an Hunziker-Winter-Zhislin theorem for the confined model, the existence of asymptotic fields, and, finally, the asymptotic completeness of the wave operators.
