Let \( (M, \omega) \) be a quantizable manifold and \( L ^\omega \) its prequantum bundle. For high tensor powers of \(L ^\omega \), \textit{V. Guillemin} and \textit{A. Uribe} [Asymptotic Anal. 1, 105-113 (1988; Zbl 0649.53026)] showed that there is a well-defined cluster of low-lying eigenvalues whose distribution is described by a spectral density function. In the paper under review the authors give an explicit computation of the spectral density function, by constructing \( g \) certain quasimodes on the associated principal bundle.
