In his lost notebook, Ramanujan recorded a claim regarding the ``circular summation'' of the powers of a certain theta function. In this paper the author records an explicit formula for the circular summation of the thirteenth powers of Ramanujan's theta function as a linear combination of quotients of the Dedekind eta function.
