Two-dimensional ``symplex'' diagrams will be presented to provide deeper insight into quantitative similarities and differences between the member states of the European Union. This paper serves two purposes: (i) It shall help to provide a better perception of quantitative European relations. (ii) It shall demonstrate the cognitive power of two-dimensional ``symplex'' diagrams. A collection of 12 diagrams will be used as samples.
