The authors investigate the quadratic model \((b^Tu+u^TCu)/a^Tu\), which generalizes the Shanks transformations and Padé model, to accelerate the convergence of the sequence \(\{ u_k \}_k\). An iterative formula for the construction of the matrices \(C\) is given and the rate of convergence is discussed.
