Exact Minkowski products of \(N\) complex disks (Q1604711)

The paper starts with the investigation of the Minkowski product of two concentric complex disks, i.e. with the boundary curve of the product, which is a Cartesian oval. The curve is first parametrized by a bipolar representation. A correspondence between the points of the two operands is introduced which leads to a unipolar representation. A generalization of this representation to products of several disks, and as a special instances, to powers of disks, is derived.
