Using the principle of spatial averaging, the author examines the existence of inertial manifolds for scalar-valued reaction-diffusion equations in a particular triangular domain \(\Omega_2\) in \(\mathbb{R}^2\) and in a domain \(\Omega_3\) in \(\mathbb{R}^3\), which is the Cartesian product of \(\Omega_2\) with an interval.
