Summary: Fixed point theorems due to \textit{S. N. Lal, P. P. Murthy, Y. J. Cho} [J. Korean Math. Soc. 33, No. 4, 891-908 (1996; Zbl 0928.54041)] and \textit{G. Jungck} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 103, No. 3, 977-983 (1988; Zbl 0661.54043)] are used to derive two common fixed point theorems involving six mappings in complete and compact metric spaces, respectively.
