The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate a new methodology that highly simplifies the study of the properties of projectors, reducing it to an analysis of a two-dimensional situation. The methodology is based on a theorem about the canonical form for oblique projectors and on some related fact. A number of results on the properties of projectors is reported using this unified methodology.
