The author continues his work on the classification of tight contact structures. In this paper, he applies the techniques developed in Part I [Geom. Topol. 4, 309--368 (2000; Zbl 0980.57010)]. Please see the review of that paper for a rough idea of the techniques and the proof. In Part II (the current paper), the author deals with two classes of 3-manifolds: torus bundles over the circle and circle bundles over closed surfaces.
